WHO WE ARE

VISION

We go to places no one wants to go and do things no one thought possible so that anyone and everyone can discover hope & life in Jesus

VALUES

1. We are Jesus people
Jesus is the beginning and the end, and everything in between. Everything we do points to Jesus. We are Jesus people. When Jesus enters our lives, everything is different, and anything is possible. We want anyone & everyone to discover the hope & life that is found in Jesus.

Colossians 1:15-20; Matthew 7:24 Psalm 127:1
2. We are people people
Make no mistake about it, we love people. We love those who are near and those who are far from God. We create spaces and places where anyone and everyone can experience hope, life and freedom in Jesus. We are the type of people who believe in you more than you believe in yourself.

Luke 19:10; Ephesians 1:18; Deuteronomy 32:9; Luke 5:31
3. We follow Jesus one step at a time
We embrace the mystery of God. We are open, ready and responsive to change & opportunities so that we can reach more people for Jesus.

Psalm 37:23-24; Mark 1:17; Luke 5:27
4. We do our best and then some
We are first through the door, last out of the building, all hands on deck type of people. We are always going to do the best we can with what we have. We’re on time, engaged and prepared. We don’t do things halfway. If we’re going to do it, it’s going to be to the best of our ability.

Romans 12:11; Romans 12:4-5; Colossians 3:17; 1 Corinthians 12:12
5. We love to be generous
Generosity is about giving more than what is required. We see generosity as a privilege. We’re generous with our time, talents and treasure. We go first in our giving. God has given richly towards us, it’s our honour to give back to Him.

Psalm 112:5; Psalm 22:9; 1 Timothy 6:18; Proverbs 11:24-25
6. We are here to help
If you’re too big to serve then you are too small to lead. We love to serve our church, our community and our city. No matter the situation we are here to help. No matter who you are, from the platform to the parking lot, we lead well by serving others. Every role may be different, but every one is important.

Mark 8:2-3; Colossians 3:12; Matthew 25:36-40; James 1:27
7. We aren't afraid to fail forward
We love to take risks and learn from our mistakes. We look back and learn so we can move forward and grow. We are willing to try almost anything if it means we can reach more people with the hope & life found in Jesus.

Philippians 1:6; Romans 12:3; Proverbs 24:16; Psalm 37:23-24

WHAT WE BELIEVE

THE BIBLE

We believe that the Bible is God's Word. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives.

2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 12:6, 119:105,160; Proverbs 30:5

GOD IS THE CREATOR

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

Genesis 1:1, 26-27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14

SIN AND THE FALL OF MAN

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

Gen. 1:26,27; 2:7 23; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a;  Isaiah 59:1-2; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12; James 1:14,15

JESUS THE MEDIATOR

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only one who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove his victory and empower us for life.

Isaiah 53:3-6; John 12:32,33; Acts 2:36; Rom. 4:25; 1 Cor. 15:14,17,20; Heb. 10:12; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 2:2

REPENTANCE

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the 'new birth' we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.

Isaiah 55:7; Acts 17:30; Romans 5:1, 5:8, 10:9-10; Galatians 3:22,26; Eph. 2:8; 1 John 5:10-13

BAPTISM

We believe that water baptism by immersion symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and is a public declaration that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour. Baptism does not save you, but shows the world that you have already been saved. And while baptism is not required for salvation, it is a biblical command and demonstrates your love and obedience to Christ.

Matt. 28:19; Mark 16:15-16; Acts 2:38, 41; 8:36-39; Rom. 6:3-5

COMMUNION

Communion is a symbol, memorial, and proclamation of the suffering and death of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are looking back at the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, celebrating our salvation through Jesus as a church family, and our unity as believers and looking forward to the return of Jesus.

Matt. 28:19; Mark 16:15-16; Acts 2:38, 41; 8:36-39; Rom. 6:3-5

THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The baptism in the Holy Spirit is an experience in which believers yield control of themselves to the Holy Spirit. Through this the believer comes to know Christ in a more intimate way and receives power to witness and grow spiritually. Believers should earnestly seek the baptism in the Holy Spirit according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ

Matt. 3:11; John 16:13-15; Acts 1:5;  Acts 1:8; Ephesians 5:18; 1 Corinthians 14.5; 2 Corinthians 3:18

THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the gifts of the Spirit are supernatural abilities given by God which enable believers to minister effectively and directly in particular situations. They serve the dual function of building up the church and of demonstrating the presence of God within His church.

Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; 14:1-5; 14:12, 24-25; Ephesians 4:7, 11-12; 1 Timothy 4:14

SPIRIT-LED LIVING

We believe the only way possible to live the Christian life is by God's power within us. So we seek to practice a daily dependence on God's Spirit.

Acts 1:8; Psalm 37.23-24; John 15:5; Philippians 2:13; Ephesians 5:18

THE LOCAL CHURCH

We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, worship, prayer, and communion.

The local church is a body of believers in Christ who have joined together and function as a part of the universal church. The local church is ordained by God and provides a context in which believers corporately worship God, observe the ordinances of the church, are instructed in the faith and are equipped to reach the world.

John 4:23; Acts 11:19-24; 14:23; 1 Corinthians 20:7; Ephesians 5:18–33, Colossians 3:12-17

EQUIPPING THE SAINTS

We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfill our role in the Church, and serve the community in which we live.

Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 11:19-24; Ephesians 4: 11-16; 2 Timothy 2:2; 1 Peter 5:2

TRANSFORMATION

We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and abundant lives in order to help others more effectively.

John 10.10; John 17:17,19; Romans 6:11,13-14,18; 1 Corinthains 13; Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Thessalonians. 5:23; 2 Timothy 2:19-22; Hebrews 10:10,14; 1 Peter 1:14-16; 2 Peter 1:3-4

ETERNITY

We believe that man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and hell are places of eternal existence.

Matthew 25:31-46; John 3:16; John 2:25; John 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; 1 John 5:11-12; Revelation 20:15

JESUS IS RETURNING

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

Psalm 2:6-12; Daniel 2:44-45; Matthew 24:27, 30; Luke 17:24, 26-30; 22:29-30; Rev. 3:21; 20:6
